Four athletes from the Club represented their schools Colaiste Pobail Bheanntrai and Scoil Mhuire at the recent South Munster schools cross country championships which were held at the Cork Athletics grounds in Riverstick, Kinsale.   It was a very successful day for all four athletes.   Sean Lawton and Fionn Harrington were the first to compete in the Minor boys 2000m distance and it was a 1, 2 for the boys with Sean winning the race and Fionn following in 2nd place.   In addition,  the Colaiste Pobail Bheanntrai Minor boys team took the silver medals, a few points behind St.Brendan's college, Killarney. .

Ellen Collins had a superb run in the Junior girls 2000m race finishing strongly in 8th position and in the Girls Intermediate 3000m race, Aoibheann Lawton also had a great run finishing in 7th place.  Best of luck to all four who have qualified for the Munster Schools championships which will be held on Friday 15th of February at Waterford I.T.   A top 15 finish is required to secure individual qualification for the All Ireland Schools XC Championships in March as well as top 3 teams.
